An early morning at the beach last Saturday. We had gone down with the idea of capturing sunrise over the beach followed by a walk over Hengistbury Head near Christchurch and ending up in the Hiker cafe for breakfast. This sand bar is from the the foot of Hengistbury Head and is heaving in summer with trippers. Beach huts (just behind my shooting position) sell for over £100K and the waiting list runs for years. Across the water is the Isle of Wight; the Needles can be seen.
My tripod carrier is not keen in having her photo taken so I have to grab shots of her when I can. I have previously suggested that she poses with a paper bag over her head but was not impressed with the idea.
We're hoping for more favourable conditions in two weeks' time when we will be at Corfe Castle to celebrate the Winter Solstice.
