Worth a little chest-expanding scrambling exercise to get us this snap, Alan.
Alan: Yes.. not easy with 10kg of camera bag on my back, though smile
I just love your Dunstanburgh Castle pix!
Alan: Thanks, Jacquelyn. It is a great spot and looks fabulous in moody weather, too.

Definitely worth the climb. You lead an exciting life!
Alan: Living life on the edge, Chris; constantly pushing the boundaries.

There is a competition between the cloud and the castle: Wo is more beautiful? The clouds are transient whereas the castle stands there for ages - a fantastic view from there- a gorgeous photo- you have won the competition - and you survived the non-vertical climb so we can expect more photos from Dunstanburgh Castle - PLEASE!
Alan: Thank you, Philine. I've often said that some cloud is important for a photo; a plain blue sky looks bland to me. This has the right balance for me and, as your rightly, say both are beautiful. Clouds will be here for ever (I hope!) but I guess the castle will eventually crumble but not in our lifetimes.

Alan: Thanks, Chad. Yes, the inhabitants have a nice view of the golf course.
Being the people watcher that I am, I like seeing the people way down on the ground. It gives the whole shot scale. Really excellent shot, as usual, Alan.
Alan: Thanks, Mary. It is a popular destination for walkers. There's a few sheep there, too smile
Striking use of perspective Alan to give extra depth to the panorama.
They had a great view. Funnily enough this castle cropped up the yesterday channel yesterday. I like this composition Alan
Penny pinching is clearly nothing new then Alan
Marvellous outlook from there Alan.
I like the angles, even the clouds seem to reflect them a great composition of a beautiful scene Alan smile
The climb was worth it for the view, Alan.
Always leave it late, a little breaking and entering, and save the entrance fee to spend on a pint later! Well done!
