Autumn in the city

This is Hoglands Park, Southampton. Debenhams is on the left. I have to say the parks are the best bits of Southampton.

This is certainly beautiful, Alan! Love the golden carpet!
Alan: Scumsville can do beautiful - not often though wink
brilliant autumn scene, Alan.
Alan: This autumn was quite disappointing; the colours are more muted than those of last year.

Lovely image, nice splodge of red up ahead. Probably it's best to exclude all buildings if you're showing Scumsville in all its glory
Alan: You're right. Tomorrow will show one such "wonder".

Do you ,are this fine shot as you pedalled through the petals, Alan?
Alan: On foot. Its all too much of a faff to stop when I'm cycling and struggle to get the phone out. Plus too risky leaving my bike in the streets of Scumsville.

What would we do without city parks, Alan?
Alan: Essential organs of any city.

I just wanted to say- how beautiful is Scumsville! And this is a wonderful photo with all the leaves on the ground. Debenhams is a shop?
Alan: Scumsville can do beautiful - not often though smile Spring can be very pretty if you can try to exclude the hideous architecture but autumn is better. Debenhams is a chain of department stores. It takes it name from the village of Debenham in Suffolk which was the birthplace of the stores' founder. Thanks, Philine.
Parks usually are Alan. Birmingham has some lovely parks
Alan: Our parks have suffered from budget cuts and are not as pleasant as they once were. Nature does try t help, though.

Hey, you kept this bit quiet Alan. I now have a completely new image of Southampton.
Alan: Our parks have suffered from budget cuts and are not as pleasant as they once were. Nature does try to help, though.
It certainly has put on it's finest this morning.

This part of Scumsville is certainly very nice Alan, the autumn colours are among the best I've seen this year.
Alan: Our parks have suffered from budget cuts and are not as pleasant as they once were. People seem less inclined to use the overflowing bins which just adds to the litter problem. I'm sure if the towns and cities were fill of people such as you and I, we would not need people to clear up after us.

Wonderful colours smile
Alan: It's not been a very god autumn I think but this was a delight.
A nice warm feeling...
