Peaceful scene...
Alan: Plenty of people around, though., all with their New Year's Resolution of doing more exercise.

That shaft of Peach really makes a difference.
Alan: That's what caught my eye.

I love the layers.
Alan: Thanks, Cheryl; I thought the same.
The colors are so gorgeous!
Alan: Thanks, Elizabeth. There was not too much colour for my week away.

I suppose you enjoy it when darkness descends at 3.43pm
Alan: Yes; I do like the dark evenings - usually much quieter than than all guffawing over barbecues.
Caught at the perfect moment. At 3.44pm that streak of light had probably gone
Alan: Hahah!! Very likely!

Oh, I would have thought of the new morning of a new year - very hopeful! A beautiful image! I wonder about the many people.
Alan: Ah...w ell, this is looking west so the sun is setting smile All the people probably with their New Year's Resolution of doing more exercise - I wonder how many are still carrying on?

Just like mY beach today, everyone fully clothed.
Alan: Well, this is the British seaside. Even in mid-July, people are probably still fully closed - hopefully, considering some of the sights...
Ready to have your polar bear swim?
Alan: The sea is probably warmer in December than it is maybe in June. It takes a long time to warm up and cool down. September is probably when the sea is at at its warmest.

Sorry to sound seriously boring ... but I knew this was Sherringham before I read your blurb
Alan: Not boring at all; just the benefit of living not a million miles from Sheringham smile
Fine mid-winter shot of Sheringham. The strange thing about the place is that once the tide goes out there is a fine expanse of sand under that water.
Alan: Yes, I saw that on different ays. I did have a walk along the sands.
