London (not) from the top deck of a number 88 bus - 11

I'm close to my destination now so time to get off the bus. It's just started to rain so I thought it best to pop in to the Apple store on Regent Street whilst the rain shower passes.

The series resumes next week - the end is in sight.

These places ( Apple stores) are pretty much the same wherever I have found...
Alan: There are all modelled on the same theme but all with the same goal of getting lots of money from their customers.
A very large Apple store at that...
Alan: ..and just look at the number of staff, too!

The series ends next week as you purchase several items from the store, each costing many thousands of £££s..
Alan: Hahaha!! I bought nothing!

"235 Regent Street, now home to the Apple store, was once occupied by Salviati, a glassmaking and mosaic firm hailing from the island of Murano in Venice. In 1898, the company adorned the outside of its Regent Street premises with an intricate mosaic, incorporating two lions and four coats of arms, representing the cities of London and Westminster, and the Venetian islands of Murano and Burano."
The mosaics were restored in 1999 and can still be admired today. "
But we cannot admire the mosaics today on your blog.
Alan: I saw the glasswork on the link you sent me yesterday; I wish I had seen it for myself but at this time it was raining heavily. Next time I'm in London I will make a point of look for the glass. Thanks, Philine.
I bought mine on line grin
Alan: I only went in the escape the heavy rain shower. You went for an iMac in the end? What size did you get? Foes it have a Fusion drive?

I’m glad you didn’t nod off and miss your stop.
Alan: Too much of interest to have me nod off.
Nearly all young folks there, I guess they are about the only folk who can afford Apple stuff.
Alan: Well, you're right, only us youngsters can afford Apple products. I hope to be able to continue buying them as and when once I get old smile
I like the subtle architecture.
