Nice shot of a wonderful activity, Alan...my experience is almost entirely on a Concept2 machine in a gym!
Alan: Yes, I'm in a similar position. My elder brother was a keen rower when we were much younger and I don't recall that I was allowed to fondle his rollicks very often.
Very nice, Alan! I'm the same as Ray - but I'd like to give this a try!
Alan: I don't have much experience on the water, either (at least you have a good reason smile My elder elder was a keen rower in his youth.

This is such a great way of being outside, get your exercise and having fun too. Great Boat Friday picture, love the boats in the back.
Alan: Whenever I see a group like this, I wonder if they any future Olympians there.
Astrid and I would definitely be part of that crew, Alan. So good for the body and soul!
Alan: OK! I'll be the cox smile

Have you noticed how women are becoming more & more sporty these days instead of doing the decent thing of household chores and slaving over hot implements..
Alan: Yes, its appalling. TV is not helping either as they keep televising them doing sporty things such as Extreme Naibar Fiddling and Ironwomen Jean Slashing.

Lol at Chris! There are some boats in Christchurch harbour - on a lovely spring day!
Alan: I expect that if I visited the harbour this month, there would be even more boats in the harbour. probably people would still be in their fleeces, though smile Thanks, Philine.

A very pleasant picture of our blue waters and green land, Alan

I have an idea for yet another 'Olympics' Alan. This one will be for people who are no good at sport.

Jolie scène avec une belle lumière.
Lots of empty moorings. Must be a busy place.
The harbour covers quite a large area I seem to recall.
My recollection of rowing is that is harder than it looks and blooming hard work
Some curious structures fore and aft!
