Joli petit pigeonnier.
Alan: I think it's a dovecote but the pigeons seem to like it anyway!
great thatched roof Alan... good for another 50 years... i like the bird feeder....petersmile
Alan: I think the life of a thatched roof is around 20-30 years I believe. I dread ti think of the cost of replacing it.
Nice title! smile
This is a lovely shot, Alan!
Alan: Ah! Well you tell that it was taken on 26 August in St.Mary Bourne and it is the 3601st photo taken with the iPhone. It is also resized for Shutterchance smile

It's a lovely dovecote in the gardens of delightful little country cottage.

Fabulous pic, with that brilliant thatch, and the popular pigeoncote, Alan.
Alan: I think the doves must have moved ion when the tone of the place was lowered when the pigeons moving in.

I expect that the birds would love to get at that nest making material which we use for roofing.
Alan: Probably at nest-building time, the roof is bare.

Busy life at the dovecote - a lovely merry old English house, yes, the life of a thatched roof is about 25 years. I wish you another lovely day. (My American friends in Tampa survived the hurrican.)
Alan: Thanks, Philine. Yes, a rose-tinted view of England smile I'm pleased that your friends have weathered the storm. I've deliberately avoided any news whilst I'm away; World War III could have started for all I know smile This morning I'm looking at the ocean pounding on the cliffs but under thick fog. It should be gone by lunchtime, though
Unusual title for a nice jigsaw puzzle picture Alan
Alan: Hahaha!! I was posting a batch quickly before coming away with a view to editing them later smile
Nice looking place, there's even a Dove taking off over the rooftop.
Alan: Merry old England. We'd never heard of Europe in those days smile
Nice timing with the bird above the roof too.
Alan: Thanks, Mary. This is typical of some our country villages in southern England.
You caught the pigeon nicely, Alan!
