photoblog image Sheep Saturday

Sheep Saturday

Another of the Patterdale Herdwick ladies. Like her companion shown previously, she does not seem to be the brighest "kid on the block" but I'm sure she will be a loving mother when the time comes.

I'm back home now. I'm sorry if I was not able to respond to your comments whilst away but my holiday cottage had  a wood-buring stove and all my free time seemed to be taken up getting logs from the oustiode wood store than then adding them to the fire. I never had a chance to sit down and actually enjoy it :) Oh, that and topping up the wine glass...

Elle est belle avec ses boucles d'oreilles.
Alan: I think she has mixed up the colours of them. I bet she has another pair just like that smile
Ha Ha

Not a lot of Rocket Science happening back there.
Alan: Hahah!!
Such a beautiful portrait, Alan! I'm glad you're home safe!
Alan: Thanks, Elizabeth; I'm already planning next New Year's great escape smile I had my longest lens on the camera for this one.

Another lovely animal, Alan - I a sure you don't mind her lack of brain-power
Alan: I'm sure once she gives birth, she will come into her own.

I recall to have seen her on your blog previously, but she might be one of the siblings - I love her and she looks so aimable! I see that you had to work hard during your holidays, I hope you can now recreate yourself at home.
(for sure woodburning and outside wood store?)
Alan: Same flock, Philine but a different sheep. Her friend was stood with her body to the right smile A woodturner is very lovely as an occasional treat but they do take a fair amount of care with the wood gathering, the lighting and the cleaning up afterwards! Besides my home is not suited to it (I have no fireplace). Thanks, Philine. Another cold day here.
This is a very good lamb portrait Alan.
Alan: I expect it would like a copy of it for the family album smile

Getting the basics in place, Alan, is very important ...I'm talking warmth from the wood stove and pleasure from the red wine
Alan: Alas this was just the treat of last week for me. At home, I just put on a jumper or turn up the thermostat smile The wine is still important for me, though.
i love how close you got, Alan. terrific lamb portrait.
Alan: Then with my longest lens smile The ladies are not keen on me getting too close with my equipment (the sheep don't like it much, either. Hahaha!! )

Topping up the wine glass is far more important than commenting ;-)

Bright or not she has a lovely face smile
