Joli point de vue.
Alan: Any excuse to stop and let my heart recover slightly smile
Wonderful view,Alan. Cameras are good for taking breathers.
Alan: ..and a good excuse to get my heart rate down again smile
I agree that the colors were certainly showy for you! Lovely vista!
Alan: It was funny how visibility changed during the week without significant overall changes to the weather.

All very agreeable. The South Downs it aint..
Alan: I've just realised that apart from a little time in the western fringes, I 've not spent much of this year on the South Downs. I need to rectify that for next year.
Up, down, backwards and forwards! ALWAYS, Alan. So glad you did. smile
Alan: Yes, looking up is good too. I try not to do that when cycling, though, as I don't want t see the hill looming in front of me! On a walk up the fells, its an excuse to get the heart rate to cover.

It's always good to look back, too, especially on a round walk

This is a wonderful point of view and I can imaging that you love to walk here, Alan. And yes always look behind you and all around you, I don't need to remind you wink..
Alan: Sometimes it's all too easy to press on without realising that the better view is perhaps behind you.

It is a fine mix of hills, lakes and pasture.
Alan: The joys of the Lake District.
I specialise in looking back whilst gasping for breath up a steep hill. Trouble is I am gasping too much to hold the camera steady.
Alan: LOL. I know that feeling, too!
Another beautiful view.
Alan: A glorious part of the world even with no sun. I've returning again next November.
Your looking behind has brought us a stunning shot. Autumn colours, green fields and water. WOW!
You are standing in the perfect spot for a home. What a view.
